Carlos Augusto Ponce (* 4. September 1972 in Santurce) ist ein puertoricanischer Schauspieler, Sänger und Songschreiber.Biographie [Bearbeiten]

Carlos Ponce wurde in Santurce geboren. Kurz nach seiner Geburt zog seine Familie nach Humacao, wo Ponce seine Kindheit verbringt. Im Alter von sechs Jahren trat Ponce das erste Mal in Fernsehwerbespots auf. Später besuchte er die High School in Humacao, wo er der Schul-Theatergruppe angehörte. 1986 zog seine Familie nach Florida. Auch hier trat Ponce diverse Male in der Schul-Theatergruppe auf und galt bald als bester Nachwuchsschauspieler im Süden der USA.

1990 moderierte Ponce die Talkshow Hablando auf dem spanischsprachigen Sender Univision. Diese Show sollte den Beginn seiner Fernsehkarriere darstellen. Fortan machte er sich sowohl als Seriendarsteller als auch als Sänger einen Namen. Ponces Debütalbum Carlos Ponce wurde 1998 auf Anhieb Nr.1 in der lateinamerikanischen Szene der USA sowie in Mittel- und Südamerika. Der Song Amelia aus seinem zweitem Album wurde zum offiziellen Song der Leichtathletik-WM 1999 in Sevilla.

Seit 2003 arbeitet Ponce auch als Korrespondent für das Magazin Entertainment Tonight, das als das beste Unterhaltungs-News-Magazin in der Welt gilt. 2006 nahm Ponce an der Aufnahme der umstrittenen spanischen Version der US-amerikanischen Nationalhymne teil. Im selben Jahr war er Gastgeber der Wahl zur Miss Universum.

Privates [Bearbeiten] Am 5. Oktober 1996 heiratete Ponce seine Jugendliebe Veronica. Die beiden haben zwei gemeinsame Söhne (* 1999 und * 2001) und zwei 2003 adoptierte Töchter (Zwillinge, * 2002).

Khotan is the son of Brazilian actress/singer Rozana Tapajos. His first important stint was in 1998, playing the role of "Mercurio" in "Mi pequeña traviesa" produced by Televisa. He subsequently appeared in several soap operas playing "Ransel" in the TV series "Preciosa","Humberto de Astolfi" in Amor Gitano and "Valentino" in Alma Rebelde. He then went on to play "Pablo" in "Vale Todo" the first Soap opera produced by O Globo and Telemundo aimed at the Spanish market in the U.S. He then went on the play the lead role as "Alvaro Santos" in "Yo vendo unos ojos negros". In 2006 Khotan played the role of "Sergio" in Corazón Partido, a Telemundo and Argos telenovela. He also starred as "Caronte" in the movie El Cartel. Khotan played the role as villain named "Angel" in another Telemundo serial, Dame Chocolate. He is recently playing the role of aspiring singer "Rocky Perez" in the new Telemundo series Perro Amor.

Mauricio Ochmann

Mauricio Ochmann Siordia (born November 16, 1977 in Celaya, Guanajuato) is a Mexican actor best known for his roles in telenovelas. Biography

Mauricio Ochmann is the son of jewish mother and armenian father a painter and a businessman; as a child he joined local theater companies. At the age of 16 he participated in the Héctor Suárez TV comedy show La otra cosa for two years. At the age of 19 he moved to Los Angeles, California to study at the Joanne Baron Studio in Santa Monica. After three years of castings he obtained a small role in Message in a Bottle and then in the TV series Latino Green. After the series he was invited to participate in the telenovela La casa en la playa with Televisa, he instead joined TV Azteca in the telenovela Azul Tequila co-starring with Bárbara Mori. After participating in another production of TV Azteca he obtained the starring role in the play Equus for which he received a Best New Stage Actor by Mexico's National Association of Theater Critic). After more than 16,000 presentations he returned to Los Angeles to participate in the show That's Life and then back to Mexico to co-star with Lorena Rojas in Como en el cine ("Like in the movies"), a very successful telenovela. In 2003, he returned to film with Ladies' Night and in 2004 with 7 mujeres, 1 homosexual y Carlos. The same year he also obtained the role of Benjamin Braddock in the Mexican production of The Graduate. In 2005 he made three films, the last one being Corazón marchito.

Recently in a 2007 interview on a Spanish talk show Ochmann revealed his addiction with the drug cocaine and how he was at death's door. He was asked: ¿cuándo comenzaste a consumir drogas? (When did you first start taking drugs?) Desde niño, cuando por primera vez probé el alcohol, y no por su sabor, sino por evadirme de la realidad. Los narcóticos llegaron más tarde. (Since childhood, when I for the first time tried alcohol but not for the taste but instead to escape from reality. The narcotics came along much later.)

He also acknowledges God throughout his ordeal with drugs stating "Fortunately, God took me by the hand and has given me the opportunity to continue ahead." Referring to his month in rehab Ochmann expressed that "I felt as though I had arrived at the house of God, to a safe refuge. To me it was like a re-birth."
